ANTON TAGLIAFERRO

Anton qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte’s in London before moving to Australia in 1983. Anton joined the funds management industry in 1986 when he was employed as an investment analyst at Prudential Assurance. After leaving Prudential, Anton achieved notable success as a Senior Portfolio Manager managing Australian equity portfolios at Perpetual Funds Management, County Natwest Investment Management and then BNP Investment Management.

Anton then established Investors Mutual Limited (IML) as a value based Australian equities manager in 1998 where Anton worked for over 25 years as a Senior Portfolio Manager and as the Investment Director. During his time at IML, funds managed by Anton achieved great success and were nominated and won many prestigious awards. Anton left Investors Mutual in 2023 before applying for an AFS licence in 2025 and establishing Fundamental Investment Management in early 2026.

SIMON CONN

  • Senior Portfolio Manager
  • BEc/LLB
After qualifying with an Economics/Law degree at University of Sydney, Simon started his investment career working in QBE Insurance’s investment area. In 1998 Simon joined Investors Mutual Limited (IML) as an Equities Analyst working alongside Anton. In 2000 he was promoted to the role of Senior Portfolio Manager. For the next 25 years Simon enjoyed great success managing IML’s Smaller Companies and Future Leaders Funds with the IML Funds which Simon was responsible for winning many prestigious industry awards thanks to their consistent performance over this period. Simon left IML in June 2025 before joining Fundamental Investment Management in July 2026.

ALFRED TAGLIAFERRO

  • Equities Analyst

Alfred graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney in 2017 and a Masters in Management from London Business School in 2018. After graduating, Alfred worked as an Investment Analyst for London-based fund manager Viewforth Investment Partners for four years, where he was responsible for analysing mid-sized, European-based, listed companies. In 2022, Alfred set up the TGI Holdings office in London and in 2024 he returned to Australia to work as an analyst at Sydney-based family office where he has spent the last 2 years solely focusing on analysing ASX listed equities. He joined Fundamental Investment Management in July 2026.

ALEXANDER WHITMAN

  • Equities Analyst
  • LLB, BA
Alexander graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney in 2019. After graduating, Alexander worked as an Associate in the Allens M&A and Corporate team and was involved in advising on complex transactional and governance-related legal issues.
Alexander has always had a passion for share market investing and in 2024 joined TGI Holdings, a private family office working closely with Anton Tagliaferro and where he has been responsible for the in-depth analysis and research of a range of ASX listed companies. He joined Fundamental Investment Management in July 2026.

GRAHAM HOOK

  • Operations Manager
Graham has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Previously, Graham was an Executive at One Investment Group in the RE/Trustee team, where he was responsible for operations, onboarding of investment managers and oversight of internal and external third party service providers.
Prior to this Graham was employed at Investors Mutual Limited (IML) as General Manager responsible for all the back office operations at IML.

VIVIAN LAW

  • Relationship & Marketing Manager

After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from Macquarie University, Vivian spent time in London working with several fund managers including AXA IM, Bank of NY Mellon and Old Mutual. She has held roles across finance and investment management, including Colonial First State, T. Rowe Price, and Investors Mutual/Natixis Investment Managers, where she focused on client services and operations. She now manages Business Development, Marketing, and Research/Consultant relationships.
